If we are honest most of us have too much ‘stuff’. Over the years we buy and receive items until our homes are full to the brim. This is made worse when, if like me, things become sentimental to you and you have learned to think ‘sure it might be useful or come in handy someday.’
After years of holding on to Clutter’, my work on Conscious Living and Mindful Awareness really got me to pay closer attention to all the ‘stuff’ I had accumulated. More then that it got me to ask myself two really important question; “What do you really want? and What do your really need?. I applied both these questions first to physical items in presses and closets, but soon found that every time I ‘de-cluttered’ I felt the energy change and become lighter which made me feel better, be more motivated, energised, and have more focused and clearer thoughts.
I soon realised that ‘clutter’ is not only physical items. We can also have ‘cluttered’ thinking. Just like closets and rooms can have a chaotic state so also can our thoughts. How and what we think about and give our focus and attention to everyday also has an energy and just like solid items also have a vibration. What an amazing insight and awareness I gained, just by stopping to ask myself those questions.
Giving ourselves a few mindful moments each day ‘quiet time’ to ground our energy and let our thoughts just pass by like clouds can have amazing holistic benefits. Just like physical clearing of ‘stuff’ where we decide what to keep, give away or throw out, we can consciously do the same with our thoughts. Clearing our minds from cluttered thoughts connects us to a higher vibration of conscious awareness.
A key Insight I have learned is, that sorting our physical environment, just like physical exercise can really assist in shifting our mindset too. I decided to sort in four boxes a ‘keep’ a ‘maybe’ a throw out’ and a ‘share with others give away’ pile, and to revisit the ‘maybe’ pile in a week to see on reflection what I wanted to do with it. I then decided to do the very same with my thoughts and started to keep a journal to support the transformation. These ‘share with and give to others’ thoughts have become central to the Insights I share in my writing, Intuitive Coaching and Conscious Living Seminars in my business ‘New Insights For Change’.
What a joy it is to share these Insights with others so that they too can live consciously in life, in business and in leadership. This conscious living can support you too in your personal fulfilment with purpose and compassion, and inspire you in your professional and daily life to be part of making a postive difference in your community and the wider World.
What an amazing thing ‘decluttering’ is, with asking those important questions for all areas of life; ‘What do WE really want and need?.The answers can give us a whole new focus on how to live and do life in an entirely new way.
ENJOY THE JOURNEY…

Good advice on de-cluttering. Less is more as they say.
Thanks Jean, yes ‘less is more’ where stuff is concerned 🙂
