THOUGHTS FOR THE SUMMER SOLSTICE

I walk among the ancient stones and rocks, buried deep beneath the earth’s crust, standing tall.
Our ancestral past speaks softly to my soul’s remembrance.
Ancient reminders that echo from the darkened tombs in which the ancients lay.
I lay down within the gaps of streaming light.
The sunrise giving birth again to a new dawning.
Here within this earth’s chamber the smells of past and present journeys blend as one.
I arise and go renewed.
